Alert Device Setup
Part 1: Console Setup
1. Starting with the APC UPS450. On the back of the UPS450 backup unit, there is a removable orange battery connector. This connector needs to be removed and then plugged in. Slide out the orange plastic clip to remove and then press down into battery slot (shown below). Once completed you are ready to plug the 120 volt cord into an electrical outlet.
2. Next, prepare the MV200 Console. First, connect the antenna to the back of the unit. Next, plug one end of the power cable into the back of the MV200 Console and the other end of the power cable into the UPS450 Battery Backup. The console should power on and be ready to receive alerts from the push buttons.
3. Use the USB Serial Cable to connect the console to one of the computers at the location, preferably at the front desk. Please note the name of the computer that you are connecting the console to (i.e., Counter 1/2/3).
Part 2: Software Setup
1. After completing the console setup, find the USB drive that was provided with your order and plug the drive into the same computer that the console is connected to.
2. After opening the drive on the computer, select the "Massage Envy MV200Z Setup Disk 1.74" Folder.
3. Then double click on the "setup" application and select "Yes" when the computer ask if you'd like to allow the app to make changes to your device.
4. Then select Next, Next and Install to finish installing the console software on the computer.
5. After the install has finished, check the box next to "Launch MV200Z Programming Unit" and select "Finish".
Part 3: Programing the Buttons
1. After completing the previous steps you will see the screen shown below. Click "Load" to send the "current" settings from your MV200 Desk Console to your computer. You may have to change the COM Port to successfully load the settings. If “1” does not work, then use the up and down arrows to try 2, then 3, etc.)
2. When you have successfully loaded the settings from the console to the computer you will see this message at the bottom of the window and additional Device Data related to the buttons.
3. Use the up and down arrows next to the device index to select each of the buttons to be updated. You will need to manually adjust the "Alarm Type" for each button to "Persistent : Must be Cleared" setting.
NOTE: If you have a couples room at your clinic you will need to update the name of a spare button to the couples room number so that you have two buttons with the same room number (one for each massage table in the room).
4. After you have finished updating each button press the "Send" button to load the new settings onto the console. After is has loaded the new configuration you will see a "Done Sending Data" message in the bottom left corner.
